Growing in Faith Through the Word!

Join Barbara Shanahan as she leads you through a deeper understanding of God's Word. Barbara has an MA in Theology and a certificate in Biblical Spirituality from Catholic Theology Union in Chicago. She also directed and taught in the Catholic Biblical Studies in Buffalo for 30 years.

A different 3-week series is scheduled at each parish within our Family of Parishes. All are welcome at each of the sessions to participate in the Bible study together as a faith community. 

The first of the series is titled "Why Catholics Grew up With/Without the Bible" held at St. Teresa's church in Akron. Dates for these talks are Wednesdays, October 11, 18, and 25, from 10:30 am - Noon.

The second series focuses on Advent and will be held at Our Lady of Peace church in Clarence. Dates for these talks are Wednesdays, November 29, December 6, and 14, from 10:30 am - Noon.

The third series focuses on Lent and will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary church on Harris Hill. Dates for these talks are Wednesdays, March 6, 13, and 20, from 10:30 am - Noon.

The fourth series focuses on Acts of the Apostles and the early Church and will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption church in Swormville. Dates for these talks are Wednesdays, April 10, 17, and 14, from 10:30 am - Noon.
