Jesus is Here! Trials and Resurrection Conference
Winter can be a difficult season, both physically and spiritually. This January, take time to step away from your routine and enter a day of reflection, renewal and hope rooted in the Resurrection of Christ.
The Renewal Office is excited to invite you to a special day of reflection, faith and fellowship at the “Jesus is Here! Trials and Resurrection Conference.” The conference will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Stanislaus, 389 Peckham St., Buffalo.
The first keynote will explore how Jesus meets us in our wounds and sorrows, offering hope and guidance as we navigate personal struggles and the challenges facing our parish communities during times of transition.
The second keynote will focus on the work of healing and how the liturgy serves as a place of healing and renewal.
Our keynote speaker will be Fr. Carl Gales, SVD, pastor of Our Lady of Africa Parish in Chicago. His parish was formed through the merging of five parishes, giving him a unique pastoral perspective on renewal, perseverance, and hope. He will share insights from his journey, with a special focus on how hope, trust in Christ, and the presence of the Holy Spirit sustain us through times of change and renewal. Fr. Gales is also a musical prodigy who in his youth, performed as a concert pianist at Carnegie Hall in New York City!
This day will include engaging presentations, opportunities for small-group conversations, music, and a lunch with fellow participants.
