Calling Catechists

Our Together in Christ family of parishes is in need of several individuals to help in Faith Formation this new program year. We have a variety of opportunities for you to share your time and talents with our faith community.

Please prayerfully consider serving as a catechist in one of the following roles:

- A Religion Teacher for Grades 3-8, part-time (Tues-Thurs), in Nativity School. Compensation for teaching in the school setting will be discussed in an interview.

- A Volunteer Teaching Assistant for an adaptive Faith Formation class, Sunday mornings following 10 am Mass, once or twice a month at Our Lady of Peace.

- A Volunteer to help share music and Bible stories with families with children ages birth through 3, one or two mornings a month at St. Mary's.

- A Volunteer to help teach OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) to older teens through adults. The commitment to this ministry is flexible and can range from once a month to several times a month, based on your availability throughout the process.

- And more...! There is an opportunity to fit each person's gifts and talents. Each of us is an essential part of the Body of Christ!

Sharing our Catholic faith is the role of disciples. Teaching the faith as a Catechist is a vocation that the Holy Spirit will lead you to. Please prayerfully consider if the Holy Spirit is calling you to join our team in building a strong faith community!

For more information or to express your interest, please contact Christina Egleston through the Catholic Education Office at catholiceducation@togetherinchristfamily.org or (716) 688-0599.

"So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of faith." Galatians 6:10
