Curriculum Overview

Nativity offers an innovative new curriculum, “The Edge”, to our 7th and 8th grade students. The Edge is a Catholic–centered Religious Education and Youth Ministry program designed for junior high adolescents. Classroom situations are used on a limited basis to create an environment of community and to meet the educational, spiritual, emotional and social needs of this age group. The Edge replaces the religious education curriculum used in previous years.

Special Events

Nativity strives to provide ample opportunities for spiritual growth for our youth outside of the traditional classroom setting. On several dates, the 7th and 8th grade classes will be invited to attend special social and service events that are designed to enhance their spirituality by strengthening their bonds with their peers and their community. Attendance at these events is strongly encouraged.
Past events for youth in grades 7 and 8 have included retreats, "lock-ins," movie nights, pizza parties, creating crafts for nursing homes, Christmas caroling, ice skating parties and motivational speaker nights.
