Welcome to the Nativity Parish web site. As pastor of this suburban faith-community, it is my pleasure to invite you to explore in this site who we are, what we are about, and who we hope to be. Your person, with its unique gifts, is invaluable.  I hope you will desire to become an active member of our parish and share your person with us.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to serve you. Sometimes a personal appointment is the best way to connect. If you are simply exploring our web site, I'm confident that you will get a good snapshot of Nativity, and its ever growing relationship with Christ. Thank you for your interest. May you be blest by God, and be a blessing to others.

Rev. Msgr. Frederick D. Leising, Ph.D.

May1

In the autumn of 2003 I began to form a Parish Council, a canonically required body in every diocesan parish. Its first members researched parish council structures in other diocesan parishes of similar size to Nativity.

As often happens, the Parish Council has morphed through several stages. Now it is the chief advisory body to the pastor and toward fulfilling that charge it is launching an ambitious effort to construct a strategic plan for Nativity Parish through the remainder of this decade. Toward this end, the current leaders of the parish in diverse ministries will be interviewed separately and cumulatively around the question of where they see their particular area of ministry going in the next five years as well as the direction of the parish as a whole.
